Nilai Competition and Practice
1) About the Nilai competition, they are either postponing it or cancelling it due to insufficient participants, especially the girls team. I have asked them whether we can just have friendly with them on tuesday itself, and they said that they will confirm to me by monday.
2) I was thinking of having 3 days of practice instead of 2 days now. One day for all guys, another for all girls and finally the last day is for everyone. The days where we train seperate gender, it is for basic training and it is more focused. The day where everyone comes together is mainly to apply what we have learnt in matches. So what do you all think? This topic is now opened for discussion. please do respond
that's all for now.
God Bless~
IMU Friendly
The guys had a friendly match in IMU on thursday. It was a four-way fight between HELP, IMU, KLIUC and Apiit. The event starts at 5.30 and we were there on time.. We warmed up and got ourselves ready
We were there pretty early actually and we were waiting for all of them to arrive so that we can start. Look at Alvin's impatient look XD
Our first match was against KLIUC. Ying Zhou said that they were pretty good and they were. :) Their spikers are great, but on that day, our blocking sucks... we didn't manage to block many balls. For every 10 balls, maybe we managed to block 1?
See.. blocking fail.. =.=
We lost to KLIUC with the score of 21-25 in the first set and 18-25 for the second set. (estimation of the marks as i can't really remember the exact score).
After that, we were supposed to go up against IMU, but it rained and therefore everyone took shelter at the IMU's Department of Student Affairs and boy is it nice. It got tv with Astro, a free pool table and there's gym. Now how cool is that..
KC straight aways played with the pool without hesitation
Even Lionel joined in the fun
All in all, we didn't perform up to expectation and we should practice more. Guys, no more slacking dy. Come on.. let's gear up for MAPCU!!

TarC-Digi 2009
Last saturday, HELP UC participated in TARC-Digi Invitational Tournament 2009. Yes, we lost, but it's the experience which counts right? XD (cover line for losers huh? :p)
Let's put some pictures in shall we?
Girls got to play indoor in the sports complex, while guys got to play outdoor under the hot sun. See, the girls got to play indoor.. so nice~
The guys have to play outdoor. This was taken during our match with UniMAP. The first set with them was not fun. The second set was fun though.. hehe..
As the organizer didn't provide any lunch for participants, we need to hunt for food ourselves and off we went to some shop to eat. Most of us ate chicken rice, and this photo is so awesome. *sorry to wei hoon and amanda for the showing your less than pretty faces here. XD*
We sent in 2 girls team, and 1 guy team. All lost during the grouping stage, but all in all, I guess it was an invaluable experience. If you haven't already realize, there are actually very few pictures of guys. I guess the guys are more shy as compared to girls.. except for jun hao maybe. XD
A final picture before signing off
